Kate O’Grady is an Accredited Specialist in family law, with over 20 years’ experience as a family lawyer helping families navigate separation and complex legal issues with confidence and clarity. Known for her warmth, practical and collaborative approach to resolving family law matters, she is a strong advocate for her clients and is regarded as a leading family lawyer in the Central Coast region.

Kate advises across all areas of family law, including complex parenting and financial matters involving high-conflict, family violence, parental alienation, large asset pools, complex financial structures, maintenance, Financial Agreements, Child Support Agreements, and matters with international aspects.

Kate is an accredited AMDRAS mediator, accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP), and Collaboratively Trained Lawyer who is passionate about helping families resolve their family law matter outside of Court to avoid the significant legal and emotional costs of litigation, especially for children.

Kate works closely with her extensive network of specialist lawyers, barristers, mediators, child consultants, valuers, accountants, and other professionals across Australia to ensure her clients receive tailored advice and achieve practical and workable solutions, suited to their unique circumstances. Whilst Kate’s passion is helping clients avoid litigation, she remains a strong and strategic advocate for her clients when litigation is necessary.
